2017 was a crazy, nonstop roller-coaster ride of a tenth anniversary year here at Engen Books, but if anyone thought that we were going to shift down a gear in 2018 they guessed wrong! 2018 is looking like it’s going to to be the biggest year yet for Engen Books, with new titles, new authors, and new entire divisions of our company starting to peak over the horizon!
That’s right, only 90 days left before the submissions for Fantasy from the Rock close on December 31, 2016! We already look to have twelve amazing new authors, some new, some established, and some award winning on board, with formal announcements to come once the deadline is closed. You’ve still got time to be a part of this great new collection!
After the colossal success of Sci-Fi from the Rock this past 10th Anniversary weekend, Engen Books has decided to continue the line with Fantasy from the Rock, to be available in Spring 2017 at the eleventh annual Sci-Fi on the Rock convention.
This Saturday, November 14th, we will be bringing select Engen titles to the St. John’s Health Care Lion’s Club Fall Craft Fair! From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, I’ll be at our table on the bottom floor of the Knight’s of Columbus on 49 St. Clare Avenue. Admission is only $2.00, and children under 12 get in free! It’s a great opportunity to catch up on the latest Engen titles, as well as check out other great local businesses or just stop by and chat! I can’t wait, and hope you can’t either!
October is a big deal for Engen Books! Our first novel, Black Womb, debuted in October 2007 to tie its scary-theme into the scariest of all months (excluding of course whatever month taxes get filed in *shudders*).
This year to celebrate, we’re making it easier than ever to try out the Infinity series as an eBook in preparation for the third book in the series, Exodus of Angels, due out April 1 2016!
During the Halloween weekend (October 29-31 2015) both Compendium (the Infinity prequel) and Infinity (the first full novel in the series will be available as eBook for only 99 cents! Follow the links below for each for more information and to purchase!
The Pitch: Delve deeper into the world of Engen Books than ever before with Compendium, the breakout novel by all-star author Ellen Curtis.
Featuring The Tourniquet Revival, Falling into Fire and At Midnight, The Dawn; plus a new introduction by the author!
The Pitch: There is a man living in Atlanta Georgia that people don’t talk about, but everyone knows he’s there. He arrived a year ago and turned a gaggle of uneducated and uninterested youth into a force to be reckoned with; something to fear more than any demon or violent act: something new.
Roulette, the fourth novel in the ten book Black Womb series by Matthew LeDrew gets its international release this fall with a new cover and a larger format, trending away from the “pocket paperback” size of the original eight releases from Engen Books.
The Pitch: As the teen suicide rate in Coral Beach starts to climb astronomically fast, Xander travels to Los Angeles to fight his most terrifying adversary yet… and learns that the only thing worse than looking for release… is finding it.
The novel, which occurs simultaneously with The Tourniquet Reprisal, is receiving a new edit from Infinityco-author Ellen Curtis, which is appropriate as the novel marks to first published appearance of Infinity mainstay Leigh Blackheart.
“We’ve been pushing to get the series complete and into the format we want it — in its entirety,” said LeDrew, who started the series (and the Engen Universe) in October 2007. “As we move more and more into a digital realm, it’s important to have all of the series available on that format so that readers and fans can find it all how and when they want it.”
