If you’re interested in being a performer, please contact Bartlett by September 30th. Past launches have included poetry and fiction readings, musical performances, and standup comedy. A full list of performances will be available shortly.
If you’ve never attended an open source book launch before, here’s how it works: anyone who wants to contribute/participate in any way is welcome to, so that it becomes a showcase of local talent. Want to show off your cooking skills by bringing a tasty dish? It will be eaten with gusto. Want to help promote? Share this event by liking the Facebook event page.
The event is free to attend, and will be held starting at 8pm on October 6th 2015 at The Ship Pub, 265 Duckworth Street, St. Johns, Newfoundland! Come and show your support, or just share the event and help spread the word!
The book being launched is a science fiction omnibus containing an entire series of 5 novellas, titled Finished with Life but Unable to Die. Contributors are also invited to sell or promote their work at the launch.
So why is this event being promoted on the Engen Books website? Because Engen author Ellen Curtis will be there of course, reading an excerpt from the as-yet unpublished third novel in the Infinity series: Exodus of Angels!
Ellen will be there with Infinity for sale as well, so if you’ve never given it a read and want to come by to check it out, talk to the author, and have a great night of art-filled entertainment, we’ll see you at The Ship 8pm on October 6th!
